Terms of Service
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Welcome to Video Translate (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and AI video translation and dubbing features. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and account security
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. Service description and fair use
- The Service provides AI-assisted video dubbing: speech recognition, translation, voice-cloning synthesis, audio mixing, and downloadable MP4 output, subject to plan limits and supported languages shown in the product.
- Upload limits (including a maximum of about 500 MB per file) and credit consumption rules are described on the pricing page and in your account.
- We may apply rate limits, queueing, or fair-use restrictions to protect platform stability. Abuse or excessive automated use may result in throttling or suspension.
3. User content and intellectual property
- Your ownership: You retain ownership of videos and other materials you upload ("User Content").
- License to us: You grant us a temporary, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transcode, and transform User Content solely to provide the Service and store outputs for your account during the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.
- Your warranties: You represent that you own or control all rights needed for User Content (including copyright and, where applicable, voice and likeness rights) and that your use complies with applicable law and these Terms.
4. AI-generated output
- Subject to these Terms and your compliance with law, you may use dubbed outputs ("Generated Content") for your permitted purposes. We do not claim ownership of Generated Content created from your lawful User Content.
- AI output may contain errors in translation, timing, or audio quality. You are responsible for reviewing Generated Content before publication or commercial use.
5. Acceptable use and voice-cloning rules
Video Translate is a localization tool for creators and businesses. You must not use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes. Generated audio and video are your responsibility.
Content standards and prohibited categories
You must not upload, request, or distribute Generated Content that includes or promotes:
- Pornography / NSFW: Sexually explicit material, nudity intended to arouse, or adult content you are not authorized to process or publish.
- Violence / gore: Graphic violence, gore, cruelty, or content that glorifies harm to people or animals.
- Hate speech: Content that attacks or dehumanizes people based on protected characteristics (such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability).
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child exploitation: Any sexual content involving minors or content that exploits or endangers children— zero tolerance.
- Deepfakes / impersonation: Synthetic media that mimics a real person (including politicians, celebrities, or private individuals) without clear, lawful consent, or intended to mislead about what was said or done.
- Copyright / trademark infringement: Material you do not have rights to translate, clone, or publish (including commercial film, TV, music videos, or brand assets without permission).
Also prohibited: fraud, harassment, malware, bypassing security or credit limits, reverse engineering or scraping to train competing models without our written permission, and unauthorized resale of processing capacity.
Enforcement
If we believe you violated these rules, we may, with or without notice:
- Refuse or stop processing a job;
- Remove or disable access to stored outputs where technically feasible;
- Suspend or terminate your account;
- Forfeit or deduct credits associated with abusive or prohibited use;
- Report serious illegal content (including CSAM) to appropriate authorities.
Reporting violations
To report prohibited Generated Content or misuse of voice cloning, use the in-app Feedback button (message icon at the bottom-right when signed in) or email support@videotranslators.com. Include links or order IDs, a description of the issue, and your contact email. We review reports as promptly as practicable.
Content moderation
We combine automated signals (including abuse of credits, repeated policy violations, and technical limits) with human review of reports sent through Feedback or email. We may request additional information, remove content, restrict features, or close accounts when we reasonably believe our policies or law were violated. We are not obligated to monitor all User Content in advance.
Voice preservation and consent
When using voice-cloning features, you agree that:
- You will process only voices you own or for which you have obtained explicit, informed consent from the speaker(s) shown in the video.
- The Service is designed for single-speaker or clearly dominant speaker content; results for overlapping multi-party dialogue may be poor and remain your responsibility.
- We may refuse processing, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate voice-consent or impersonation rules.
6. Payments, credits, and refunds
Paid credits and subscriptions are processed by authorized third-party payment providers. By purchasing, you authorize charges according to the plan you select.
- Credits: Dubbing consumes credits based on video duration (typically one credit per second of output, rounded up). Credits are deducted when you start a job; processing begins immediately and may not be reversible.
- Subscriptions: If offered, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your account. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not by itself refund the current period.
- Refunds: See our Refund Policy for eligibility, including the 7-day window and usage limits.
7. Data privacy and retention
Our handling of personal data and media is described in the Privacy Policy. User Content and Generated Content are subject to automatic deletion after 30 days unless deleted sooner or longer retention is required by law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR PERFECT TRANSLATIONS.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or as required by law. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
12. Underlying AI models
We disclose the primary third-party models used for separation, transcription, translation, and speech synthesis on our Pricing page. Inference is provided through Replicate and related APIs described in our Privacy Policy.
